In un mare di pizzi, voulants, balze e paillettes, a colpire maggiormente quest'anno ai Golden Globes sono state, paradossalmente, le mises più minimaliste; in particolare mi riferisco a:

In a sea of laces, ruffles, frills and sequins, the most attractive looks of this year’s Golden Globes have paradoxically been the most minimalist ones; by saying this, I’m especially referring to:

- Emma Stone in Calvin Klein Collection

  Assolutamente impeccabile. L'abito è semplicemente perfetto (il taglio lo
  rende quasi una seconda pelle e il colore diviene un tuttuno con lo splendi-
  do incarnato della giovane Stone) e i gioielli (firmati Van Cleef & Arpels e
  Bulgari) e la pochette (argentata e lineare -anch'essa di Calvin Klein-) com-
  pletano divinamente il look, rendendolo al contempo fresco ed estremamente
  ricercato.

  Absolutely flawless. The dress is just perfect (its cut makes it almost a 

  second skin and its colour melts with young Stone’s gorgeous skin tone) 

  and the jewellery (designed by Van Cleef & Arpels and Bulgari) together 

  with the clean silver Calvin Klein clutch make the look divine, fresh and

  extremely refined at the same time.

Tra centinaia (se non migliaia) di vestiti, sui famosi red carpets ne abbiamo viste davvero di tutti colori: da cigni morti fatti passare per abito (?) fino ad improbabili (o peggio noiosi) abbinamenti. Tuttavia, nonostante le sopracitate catastrofi, dei veri e propri capolavori sono emersi: resi ancora più belli dalle donne che li portavano, alcuni vestiti visti sui red carpet sono entrati a pieno diritto nella storia della Moda.
Qui vi propongo quali, secondo me, sono stati finora i 10 migliori vestiti visti sul red carpet: enjoy!


Among hundreds (or ever thousands) of dresses, on the famous red carpets we've seen dresses of all kinds: from fake swans used as piece of clothing (?) to lots of unconvincing (or worse boring) outfits. However, despite those catastrophes, real masterpieces have risen: also thanks to the beauty of the women that were wearing them, some dresses became part of the history of Fashion.
Here I'll show you which are the best 10 dresses ever seen on a red carpet (that's, of course, just my humble opinion): enjoy!
 

1) Eva Mendes in Dior - Golden Globe Awards 2009

    Questo è l'abito con il quale vorrò essere sepellita, non sto scherzando.
    AMO tutto di questo vestito: la forma, il colore, il taglio!!
    Pura perfezione.
    Ah, i gioielli di Van Cleef & Arpels sono un assoluto capolavoro.


    This is the dress I wanna be buried with, I'm not kidding.
    I LOVE everything about it: the shape, the colour, the cut!!
    Pure perfection.
    Ah, and the Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery is an absolute masterpiece.

2) Keira Knightley in Chanel Haute Couture - Venezia Film Festival 2007

    Keira + abito rosa chiaro in stile babydoll firmato Chanel Haute Couture.
    Non ho altro da dire.

3) Angelina Jolie in Max Azria - Cannes Film Festival 2008

    Qui Angelina sembra una dea (Madre Natura?) e il vestito sembra
    essere parte integrante di lei, in quanto esalta ogni singola curva del suo
    corpo meraviglioso.


    Here Angelina looks like a goddess (Mother Nature?) and her dress just
    seems to be part of her, as it enhances every single curve of her
    wonderful body.

4) Eva Longoria in Angel Sanchez - Emmy Awards 2005

    Questo vestito è semplicemente stupendo: il colore, la forma e la
    scollatura-gioello sono combinati alla perfezione. E il modo in cui
    esso abbraccia le curve di Eva..pazzesco!


    This dress is just gorgeous: the colour, the shape and the jeweled 
    neckline just match perfectly. And the way it fits Eva's body...it is insane!

5) Grace Kelly in Helen Rose - Academy Awards 1956

     Quando ho visto questa foto per la prima volta ho esclamato "wow".
     Questa è pura Eleganza. 


     When I first saw this picture I said "wow". That's pure Elegance.
