In questo periodo una delle domande che più sento è: "Che cosa metto la sera di Capodanno?"; come spesso accade con domande così generiche, la risposta è: dipende. Proprio per cercare di aiutarvi in questa scelta, ho deciso di fornirvi 7 piccoli (e spero utili) consigli su come scegliere il VOSTRO abito perfetto:
In this period one of the most frequently asked questions is: "What am I going to wear for New Year's Eve?"; as it often happens with such generic questions, the anwer is: it depends. Trying to help you with this choice, I've decided to give you 7 little (and I hope useful) tips on how to choose YOUR perfect dress:
1. Pensate all'occasione - Think about the occasion
Il primo step per trovare il vostro abito ideale è sicuramente quello di capire
bene il tipo di evento a cui dovrete partecipare: è una festa a casa di amici?
Un party super elegante? Una tombolata con i parenti? Ognuna di queste
situazioni comporta luoghi, persone e azioni diverse, di conseguenza
l'abbigliamento deve essere appropriato e coerente. Pensate bene quindi al
tono generale della serata prima di decidere cosa indossare.
The first step to find your ideal dress is to understand the type of event
you're going to take part in: does it take place at a friend's house or in
a super-elegant place? Are you going to play bingo with all your relatives
or dance the whole night? Each one of these occasions includes different
kinds of places, people and actions, so the way you're dressed has to be
appropriate and coherent with them. Therefore, think about the general
tone of the event before deciding what to wear.
2. Trovate un mood oppure decidete un elemento da cui partire -
Find a mood or an item to start from
Compreso il tipo di occasione, è ora di pensare al mood (ossia alla
"sensazione") che vorreste esprimere durante quella serata con il vostro
abbigliamento: potete partire da un'immagine, una foto, un colore o
addirittura da un capo o accessorio che vi piace particolarmente; a
partire da ciò che avete scelto inizierete a costruire il vostro look.
Once you've understood the kind of event you're going to take part
in, it's time for you to think about the mood (i.e. the "feeling") you'd
like to convey through your outfit: you might start from an image,
a photo, a colour or even an item or accessory you really like and
from that you can begin thinking about your look.

3. Decidete un budget - Decide your budget
Ora che avete deciso l'elemento da cui partire, dovete decidere un
budget: a seconda della fascia di prezzo a cui fate riferimento cercate
di capire quali sono i negozi che più fanno al caso vostro e che più si
avvicinano al vostro gusto. Un consiglio nel consiglio: date un' occhiata
anche ai negozi di fascia più alta. No, non per farvi del male, ma per
trarre ispirazione; successivamente cercate di trovare un look simile
alla fascia di prezzo desiderata (sembra difficile, ma in realtà ci vuole
solo tanta pazienza!)
Once you've choosen the element to start with, you should decide
your budget: depending on the price range you're referring to, try
to understand which shops best suit you and get close to your taste.
A tip in the tip: just take a look at those shops who sell more
expensive items, too. No, not for hurting yourselves, but in order to
take inspiration from them; if you see something you really liked in
one of those shops, try to re-create that look (or a similar one) using
items that belong to your price range; I know, it seems difficult, but
you just have to be very patient!

4. Vestitevi secondo il vostro fisico - Dress according to your figure
A seconda della forma del vostro corpo, cercate di bilanciare la vostra
figura e puntate su ciò che maggiormente valorizza i vostri punti di forza:
che siano le gambe, il punto vita o il decolleté, cercate di sfruttare ciò
che Madre Natura vi ha dato di bello!
Depending on your body shape, try to balance your figure and focus
on what most enhances your strong points: it could be your legs,
your waist or your decolleté; whatever beautiful Mother Nature has
given you has to be exploited!
5. Se ne avete la possibilità, investite su uno o più accessori -
If you have the chance, invest on one or more accessories
È vero, la situazione economica non è delle migliori, ma è altrettanto
vero che non si può vivere di solo cibo! Perciò, se siete fortunate e
ne avete le possibilità oppure se avete risparmiato per un regalino
tutto per voi, quale miglior occasione delle feste per concedersi uno
sfizio ed acquistare un accessorio particolare? Tra le infinite possibilità,
punterei su scarpe e collane: impreziosiranno ulteriormente le mises più
eleganti e renderanno speciali anche i look più basic.
We know that now the economical situation is not at its best, but
we also know that you can't live just on food. Therefore, of you're
lucky enough to afford a bigger purchase or you've saved some
money to make a little gift to yourself, which better occasion than
these holidays to allow yourself to a particular accessory? Among
the possible choices, I'd recommend to focus on shoes and
necklaces: they will embellish your elegant outfits and will made
unique even the most basic looks.

6. Siate originali - Be original
Date sfogo alla vostra fantasia: il tubino nero può andare bene, ma cercate
di aggiungere un vostro tocco personale! Un esempio? Scegliete un tubino
ben strutturato e associatelo ad un maxibracciale dorato!
Give free rein to your phantasy: the little black dress might be good,
but try to ass your personal touch to it! An example? Choose a
well-structured dress and pair it with a gold cuff bracelet!
7. Siate voi stesse e...divertitevi! - Just be yourself and...have fun!!
È inutile girarci intorno: potete avere anche addosso l'abito più bello
del mondo, ma se non vi sentite a vostro agio anche la bellezza del
capo che indossate svanirà. Quindi..siate voi stesse! Vestitevi secondo
il VOSTRO gusto, portate con sicurezza e disinvoltura qualsiasi cosa
indossiate e....divertitevi!! :D
It has no point beating about the bush: you could wear the most
beautiful dress in the whole world, but if you don't feel at ease
in it, even its beauty will magically vanish.
Therefore..be yourself!! Dress according to YOUR taste, wear
everything with confidence and non-chalance and...have fun!! :D
